Get Em Talkin'
Become A Volunteer
Dear Veteran,
First off, thank you for your service. I take pride in the
fact that we have protected our way of life, as well as our
respective families. It was an honor to have served our
country, and I hope that you share this thought.
Unfortunately with our service, sometimes, there are
consequences. A consequence of my service years is that I
deal with PTSD on a daily basis. It was severe for a while,
but time and talking have helped me escape "the pit". I
have recently started a non-profit organization called "get
em talkin". Our web-site is "getemtalkin.org". The reason
for the non-profit organization is to provide anonymous
mental health care to our suffering brothers and sisters.
The reason I'm reaching out to you is because we are
looking for people who have been in the service that suffer
from PTSD, as well as veterans that have served and may
not have been in a situation to bring on an episode of
PTSD. The reason that you are needed is to be a friend
for this suffering service-member to talk to as
arrangements are made with a state certified mental health
practitioner.
Sincere thanks to you for entertaining our request. If we
hear from you, we dearly thank you. If we don’t hear from
you, we thank you so much for your service, and wish you
all the best.
