be of assistance to you or a loved one. The
people that we are hoping to help are
veterans…veterans that are suffering from some
type of emotional difficulty. Having been in a
combat zone and experiencing that situation, I
know that there are consequences that are felt,
somewhere down the line.
Our mission is to provide anonymous mental
health support and care to those that are
suffering. We are geared to do just that.
Whether you just need someone to talk to,
casually, or you feel that you need to get deeper
into how you feel, we want to, and will, help you
do that. The reason that we’ve decided to keep
our care or support for you anonymous is that we
realize the stigma associated with receiving
mental health support. Also, the culture of the
military calls for us to be “hardened”. As human
beings we are not set up to “kill or be killed”
without some type of emotional consequence. We
realize that, and if you or a loved one has been
put in this situation, you know exactly what I
mean. Our final point on the anonymity is that
we realize that there are ramifications in the
employment arena, etc…, etc…. We also
understand that veterans may also come across
varying degrees of discrimination against them in
the workplace, thus we are committed to keeping
this process anonymous and confidential.
Spouses and children of veterans are also those
that we are geared to help. When a spouse is in
a combat theatre, they’re not the only ones
affected by that situation. Often when mom or
dad comes home, they’re “different”. Sometimes
it’s hard for a child to understand what’s going
on with mom or dad. We will help address these
issues as well. There also may be questions that
you have concerning how you can help your spouse
when they come home and are possibly afflicted
with some type of emotional difficulty. We will
help you answer your questions.
We’ve set ourselves up as a non-profit
organization so that all of our services will come
at no charge to the loved one who is suffering.
This along with the anonymity will be added
incentive for all of us to give the care that is
needed to our loved ones. We sincerely hope that
you will allow us to help you, or that you will
direct your loved one to us so that they can
receive renewed mental health, and live a
peaceful, prosperous life.
